The family of Senzo Meyiwa is apparently considering taking legal actions against Kelly Khumalo to compel her to hand over Senzo Meyiwa’s belongings which includes, among others, his clothes and two cars, The Star reported.
Mr Meyiwa senior with other family members are in Jo’burg to collect the belongings of their son before his burial on Saturday but Kelly is reportedly refusing to part ways with Senzo’s items.
The newspaper reported that the Meyiwas arrived at No. 55 of the up market complex accompanied by Orlando Pirates boss, Irvin Khoza and later the police were called in to escort them before they went into the house.
A source close to the situation told the newspaper that Kelly Khumalo, sister Zandi and their mother stood firm and spit fire with the police.
“They were shouting at the police, accusing them of siding with Meyiwa’s family and harassing them.
“They accused the police of not being sensitive to the fact that they were still traumatized.
“They said the Meyiwa’s family had brought the police,” the source said.
They Meyiwa’s family only managed to get hold of Senzo’s ID and the police apparently advised them to approach the court to induce Kelly to hand over Senzo’s items to his family.
