Change is inevitable. Come Monday 2 March 2015 e-tv is getting a serious facelift! SABC 1 Generations the Legacy that is said to have lost its no 1 spot to Muvhango should get worried because a new local telenovela Ashes to Ashes is launching soon.
Ashes to Ashes will have about 104 episodes and will rope in some of the fired Generations actors. Among others, actors such Patrick Shai, Nambitha Mpumlwana, Zenande Mfenyane and Anga Makubalo are apparently joining the telenovela.
E-tv is also reshuffling some of its prime time programmes around while introducing new shows. Below you shall find the new time slots of your favourite shows.
- Monday to Friday 6:30 PM (Izindaba Zulu News)
- Monday to Friday 7 PM (Rhythm City)
- Monday to Friday 7:30 PM (Scandal!)
- Monday to Thursday 8 PM (Ashes to Ashes)
- Monday to Friday 8: 30 PM (eNews English Bullentin)
- Monday 9 PM (Umlilo)
- Tuesday 6 PM (eKasi our Stories)
- Friday 6 PM (Club 808 Make some noise)
- Friday 8 PM (Traffic!)
E-tv has moved Rhythm City to 7 PM. This can only mean two things: 1, the channel is saving Rhythm City from the SABC 1 monster, Skeem Saam. 2, Isidingo’s success will be short lived. At least until the end of this month, Isidingo is the only soapie playing at 7PM.
Mr TV Police and other commentators know how the SABC 3 soapie found it difficult to beat competition hence the soapie was moved around the different time slots. With Rhythm City set to air at the same time as Isidingo, we can only wonder what will happen to the Endemol produced property.
Rhythm City stands to benefit a lot in the new time slot. Take a look at the programmes playing on free to air channels at 7 PM.
