Tilo ngwana Rashaka Mokgopo
Every time I turn on my television and see people who proclaim themselves ‘actors’ and yet you’ll swear they are reading their lines from an autocue or they can’t do a simple movement, I always say “these people are spitting in the faces of those who spent three to four years studying drama and the seasoned actors too.”
But thanks to these three talented upcoming actors, the future of the acting industry is in the good hands. They have won the absolute favour of Mr TV Police. They are so mesmerizing on television.
Scandal! has a good record of casting the best in the television industry and the e-tv flagship soapie has a Golden Horn award for Best Ensemble Cast to support my claim. It remains inevitable that the soapie’s viewership keeps recording a major improvement from time to time.
Mapaseka Koetle who plays the role of manipulative Dintle is one amazing talented upcoming actress on our small screens. Dintle, despite her lack of education, thinks she is destined for greater things in life and is willing to stop at nothing until she gets what she wants.
Vibrate Mapaseka brings out the best of Dintle. Scandal! could not have cast a better actress to play Dintle in her quest to finding a better off man who will finance her lavish lifestyle.
From a distance, one could see that Mapaseka is enthusiastic. She enjoys playing Dintle. She employs the energy and zeal rarely seen in the television industry. It’s like she was born to be an actress. The character of Dintle suits her. Well done sesi.
Buhle ‘Boogy’ Maseko who plays the role of Nimrod Kunutu in Skeem Saam also deserves Mr TV Police’s praises. Nimrod is the prodigal son reunited with his family; thanks to Khumbul’ ekhaya. He is intelligent. His IQ far surpasses his age. The things he utters with his mouth sometimes make me question my intelligence. When I was 17 years, my thinking capacity was nowhere near Nimrod’s.
Nimza, as he is constantly called, is awaiting billionaire- the Economic Freedom Fighters would say. Buhle is subtle. He is not rowdy. He says out his lines beautifully. When he acts, he commands your attention and you can’t help it but notice. Perhaps his sense of humour works in his favour; but as far as talent and acting are concerned, Buhle is definitely going places; the future of South African Television Industry.
WOW! Innocentia Makapila, how nice! I have heard many people singing Innocentia’s praises and Mr TV Police could not agree more. Perhaps I’m a fan of Innocentia, but from a distance, her talent is unmistakable.
Innocentia plays the role of Rendani Mukwevho in the SABC 2 lead soapie, Muvhango. For some reason I always argue that Rendani gets the best lines of them all. Or maybe is because she’s eloquent and that works in her favour.
Innocentia has the Tsholofelo Monedi effect. She’s addictive, mesmerizing, entertaining and all other related synonyms. She does not spell out her lines. She does not over act her lines. She is not monotonous. Her scenes are always eye deserving. Sometimes I forget they did not get her wardrobe right because I’ll be so mesmerized into her acting talent. Keep it up Khadzi.
