The television industry is getting a serious facelift. The next coming few days are set to be exhilarating as more of Msanzi’s hunk young men join the SABC prime time soap operas. They are not entirely foreign to the television industry but their debut on Generations and Muvhango are set to make them household names.
Atandwa Kani joins Generations ensemble cast.
Following his cameo role on Muvhango as lunatic Dr Mongezi, Kani is spreading his wings in the television industry. He is scheduled to join Generations as Samora Lembede and will appear alongside talented Thato Molamu who plays Nicolas Nomvete in the soapie.
Samora’s role is introduced to Generations viewers on Wednesday 20 August.
Luyanda Potwana joins Muvhango to ruffle feathers in the Thandaza-Ranthumeng marriage.
Thandaza and Ranthumeng’s marriage is an epitome of ‘close to perfection union’ after the two renewed their vows earlier this year. But it has recently emerged that the deep river will soon be ruffled by the presence of a new hunk in town.
This after it was reported that Luyanda Potwana, the presenter of Nyan’ Nyan will appear on Muvhango on a cameo role. It is believed that Luyanda will be acting alongside seasoned Sindi Dlathu (Thandaza) and Brian Temba (Ranthumeng).
Although not much details about his role on Muvhango are public knowledge, the media has it that Luyanda’s role will be a threat to the sought after marriage of Ranthumeng and Thandaza.
It remains unknown as to when Luyanda will debut on Muvhango.
Lesley Musina, the re-cast of Ndalamo Mukwevho.
The Muvhango family will also welcome Lesley Musina to their production. Lesley will play the role of Ndalamo Mukwevho previously played by “hard to work with” Mutodi Neshehe. Lesley is not new to free to air television. He recently had a stint on e-tv award winning Scandal!
In an informal conversation with the owner of an online entertainment and lifestyle magazine, A re di fefere learnt that Lesley will debut on Muvhango on Tuesday 9 September.
Akhona returns to Generations to claim what is hers.
Thanks to Zenande Mfenyane’s activeness on twitter now we know for sure that Maggie Benedict is back on Generations set. After months of absenteeism, Akhona returns to Jo’burg to fulfill the promise she made to her boyfriend, Nicolas Nomvete, before she left for Botswana.
However, Nicolas is been behaving like a wild cat since Akhona left. He slept with numerous girls in Gauteng but of course the approach was always “no strings attached.” With Zodwa back in town expecting Nicolas’ baby, that alone poses a serious threat to the reunion of Akhona and Nicolas.
Akhona returns to Generations on Monday 15 September 2014.
