At least by 3 February 2014, acclaimed Zion Christian Church artist, Solly Moholo, was fuming fury at the ruling party, ANC, saying they haven’t paid him for the service he provided almost a month ago when the ruling party celebrated 102 years of existence.
Mholo has also turned to one of the organizers, Chicco Thwala, for the “mess’, labeling him “a snake”, Sunday World reported.
“I don’t want to blame Chicco alone, but the whole mess started with him not getting back to me. I know he can be a snake. Why did he do that?
“When I spoke to him, he said he would get back to me. He never did. I called him again and he said he will give me the numbers of some ladies running the programme. Again he never came back to me,” fuming Moholo was quoted in the newspaper as saying.
Moholo went further to say after being sent from pillar to post, his performance was confirmed a day before the big celebration.
“I had to organise a choir at the last minute. We had to depart at 2am to make it on time. Meanwhile, the other artists were sleeping comfortably in hotels and they got paid.”
Thwala has since called Moholo to order saying he would not appreciate being called a “snake” under any circumstance.
ANC spokesperson, Jackson Mthembu, has vowed to help Moholo to resolve the matter only on a condition he contact him.
